COVID-19 Weekly Brief - Week 12 - Adult Social Care

Available to: Everyone

Recorded 22nd July 2020

Deborah Jeremiah from Bevan Brittan offers a thought provoking insight into the practical challenges of managing those in care during the pandemic. Whilst Covid 19 relaxed the processes for moving adults around the system, the governance and legal framework stayed rigid, creating tensions. She will look at adult social care from the perspective of the service user, the relatives, the staff, and the management. She will look at potential legal liabilities and challenges, whether on governance, human rights, via judicial review, at inquest, or the court of protection. Finally, a look at the future of adult social care provision.
