We provide a range of services to the county of North Yorkshire, and the role of the Legal Service is to support this provision by providing a comprehensive and efficient legal service to the directorates, the Council's executive, full Council, committees and members, and external clients.
As a service we provide a comprehensive and efficient service to our users and we are proud holders of the Lexcel accreditation. Our enviable reputation for providing a high level of client satisfaction has led us to have been finalists and winners of national awards, most recently the Lawyers in Local Government Awards. We proactively meet the needs of our existing clients, with ambitious plans to grow our customer bases.
We have vacancies available for legal professionals in our Corporate and Peoples Services Teams. We are also seeking Lawyers, Solicitors and Barristers to work with us in partnership with the legal team at Selby District Council, as well as our commercial legal firm, First North Law.
