We provide strategic and professional advice and services covering all aspects of local government law.

We currently have two exciting opportunities to join our dynamic and growing team during a period of significant transformation and major project delivery within the Councils supported by the Legal Partnership.

We currently have two exciting opportunities.

Post 1 is for a Solicitor with a focus on adult social care, housing, education and general litigation skills with a good understanding of wider local government property law.

Post 2 is for a commercial property solicitor specialising in acquisitions, sales and leasehold negotiations for high profile commercial projects and regeneration schemes.

If you have what it takes we want you to join our dynamic and growing team to assist in the delivery of a number of interesting, high profile and exciting major projects transforming the delivery of adult social care services in Southampton together with a wide portfolio of housing, education and general litigation related work including tackling anti-social behaviour, immigration issues and working with diverse communities across a wide social spectrum. The commercial property position includes working on major acquisitions and sales for both Council's including innovative regeneration and enterprise zone schemes and requires a high degree of commercial acumen. Both posts require you to work in fast paced and highly performing teams and require someone with enthusiasm, dynamism and a willingness to advocate and negotiate for your clients and the people and projects we support.

To be successful you will be a practicing Solicitor or Barrister with 3+ year's PQE together with strong advocacy, negotiating and advisory skills and competence with IT and case management systems. In addition, you will have an enabling, positive approach to finding solutions to complex problems, anticipating and adapting to client needs as required.
