Job description

Applications are invited for the post of Senior Legal Officer within the Community Law Team.

The post will be within the established adult social care and safeguarding team, with a special interest in charging, ordinary residence dispute determination, and financing care dispute resolution.

Wakefield Council's Community Law Team is highly regarded amongst practitioners, and several members of the team have received recognition from the Yorkshire Lawyer Awards and the Lawyers in Local Government Awards.

The work is highly varied and intellectually demanding. You will be expected to have knowledge of social care law and practice, and be able to work in a high pressure environment. In return, the Council will support your development with relevant training and supervision.
