Hours: Full time, 37 Hours per week

Who are we looking for?
An experienced Regulatory Services (Trading Standards) lawyer to attend court and deal with the necessary preparatory work prior to advocating before the Court. You will have a detailed knowledge and a number of years' experience in prosecutions and have a high level of advocacy experience (applications from qualified persons with less experience will be considered).
What is the role?
Reporting to the Head of Litigation and working directly with Regulatory Services Client Department, the role requires a person who can hit the ground running with regard to litigation practice, advice and legal support to Trading Standards and Regulatory Services.
You will be able to draft and execute court applications, documents and undertake court proceedings from inception to and including initial court appearances.
You will need to be a strong and clear communicator who possesses clear negotiation and persuasion skills. Attention to detail coupled with a flexible and pragmatic approach is required of this role.
You will need a good working knowledge and awareness of developments in relevant areas of law, the ability to maintain good working relationships and be able to promote and maintain effective working practices, whilst complying with the highest practice standards as embedded in our LEXCEL accreditation.
