LLG is looking to recruit 3 new National Leads to champion the profession in the following fields: - Employment Partnership & Procurement Housing & Regeneration
National Leads operate as the authoritative voice of local government law in their field and focus on consultations, campaign engagement, working groups and stakeholder engagement where appropriate and with flexibility. Support and direction are provided by the Head of Public Affairs. The post runs for a period of 3 years and is determined by the LLG Board. It is a non-director position.
Whilst the post is non-remunerated, expenses may be provided to attend events where agreed in advanced. You can also expect direct access to our corporate partners, enhanced access to apply for funding to attend training and the potential to attend a fully funded residential conference (the Weekend School or Governance Conference) to deliver training in conjunction with our speakers and attend the other sessions. You will also be invited to a yearly 'Away Day' to meet the other National Leads and Branch Representative to discuss topical issues and receive training. National Leads also get the opportunity to stand as a Board Director of LLG as the National Lead Board Representative once they have been in post for 1 year which provides career enhancing strategic experience.

Full membership of Lawyers in Local Government.
Substantial Knowledge and/or experience of employment law, partnership and procurement law or housing and regeneration law within a local authority context.
